When my grandfather's old double-wide became too run-down and rodent-infested to be habitable, my family looked into selling his land. And I looked at real estate listings for charming old houses that were located a little closer to Brooklyn than our old place in Greene County. But nothing compared to this view, which seems more breathtaking with every season of my life.
